What if everyone in your community read the same book at the same time?
Three neighboring towns: Louisville, Lafayette, and Superior, Colorado will unite this summer to promote literacy and share in Building Community By Reading Together for the second consecutive year with, On The Same Page (OTSP). In addition, people from all around the Front Range and surrounding areas such as Longmont, Boulder and Denver will enjoy participating in this literacy enriching effort.
“’On The Same Page,’ our three-community one-book program, is back again this summer with the story of an unlikely hero whose courage and way of seeing the world help us to understand life from a very different perspective,” said Beth Barrett, Director of Library and Museum Services, Louisville Public Library. “If you’re curious, please join us for the unveiling of this year’s title. We’ll have copies of the book ready for checkout at the Louisville and Lafayette Public Libraries immediately after the announcement, with some great related programs coming this fall. Last year, our books checked out over a 1,000 times in the ‘On The Same Page’ season. Let’s start reading, and talk about this year’s book!”
